1 -9 ounce chopped frozen spinach(cooked / drained)
2 blocks of softened cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon mayo
1 – 1.4 ounce envelope of Knorr vegetable recipe mix
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
White or black pepper to taste
Cayenne pepper to taste
Red pepper flakes for garnish / taste
1 bread bowl

1)Cook frozen spinach per directions on box. I usually buy the green giant brand. I cut a small slit in the plastic and cook in the microwave for 4-5 minutes.
2)Take spinach out of plastic and drain excess liquid thoroughly. Dry excess water with a paper towel.
3)Place remaining ingredients in bowl with cooked spinach and stir until throughly mixed.
4)Chill spinach dip in refrigerator for 2 hours before serving.
5)Serve dip in a bread bowl and garnish with some red pepper flakes! We are enjoying with an Oktoberfest because tis the season!

I always make this dip to for a get together when I am in a pinch. People love it.  Its filling, tasty, and simple. This dip is my sister’s signature appetizer in our family around the holidays.  I added the cayenne and red pepper flakes for a little extra spice. You could even spread this dip on a bagel for brunch because I have eaten this dip leftover for breakfast countless of times. Enjoy and happy September! Cheers to cozy and hearty recipes over the next six months! IMG_5906IMG_5884 IMG_5903
