No-Bake Cookie Dough

Pardon the interruption, but we have public service announcement.  It’s this cookie dough recipe.  Now, we all know cookie dough is edible, with eggs or no eggs.  We’ve been licking off beaters since we could walk and talk, and we have yet to get salmonella.  I think it’s just a giant hoax.  Growing up, I don’t recall a single kid who missed grammar school because he or she got sick off of raw cookie dough, but I digress.  Fear not, all you bacillophobias, this recipe is all the deliciousness without the “risk.” You’re welcome.

Use this cookie dough on your ice cream, top your beer shakes with it, smother brownies with this yummy dough, or eat it right off the spoon! It also makes for a nice little snack to save in the fridge for kids {or husbands or friends}! We used this recipe with the beer shakes we made recently, and this one is a winner.  We cannot take the credit of this recipe, though.  Center Cut Cook always charms everyone with her great recipes!

Side bar: You must try her BLT wraps.  A sweet sauce that isn’t just mayo.  It’s honey and Dijon, and if I go any further, you won’t check out her site.

Back to the cookie dough.  We are cookie dough snobs, and this cookie dough rivals any out there {with eggs or no eggs}, so we just had to share it! This recipe makes an overflowing coffee mug amount of dough like the picture below. You’ll want to double the recipe if needed!

DISCLAIMOR: We do not recommend attempting to bake this cookie dough as we have no idea what would happen.  We are in no way responsible for what mayhem could unfold.

We now return you to the rest of your day.

Grocery List:

1 stick of soft unsalted butter
3/4 cups of brown sugar
11/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons whole milk
Milk chocolate chips to your liking (we used Ghirardelli)

Directions: Cream butter and brown sugar together. Stir in the rest of the ingredients together. We even used our hands to mix together to make into a ball. Add chocolate chips last.

May your mugs always be overflowing,
